學院概況

 

高分子科學與工程學院是橡膠工業(yè)人才培養(yǎng)的搖籃。目前在校本科生2500余人，博士、碩士研究生近500人，專科生150余人。

 

學院現(xiàn)有教職工160名，其中教授30人，副教授42人，國家杰出青年科學基金獲得者1人，國家有突出貢獻的中青年專家1人，泰山學者優(yōu)勢特色學科人才團隊領(lǐng)軍人才1人，百千萬人才工程國家級人選1人，國家優(yōu)秀青年科學基金獲得者1人，全國優(yōu)秀教師1人，泰山學者（含海外）6人，省級教學名師1人，省突出貢獻專家3人，享受國務(wù)院政府津貼7人，教學和科研一線的中青年骨干教師均具有博士學位，是一支高層次、高水平、結(jié)構(gòu)合理的師資隊伍。學院擁有材料科學與工程國家一級博士學位和碩士學位學科，設(shè)有材料學、材料加工工程、高分子化學與物理三個博士和三個碩士學位授予專業(yè)和一個材料科學與工程博士后科研流動站，現(xiàn)有博士生導師15人，碩士生導師75人。

 

依托學院建有橡塑材料與工程教育部重點實驗室和高性能聚合物研究院，擁有高分子材料制備、結(jié)構(gòu)表征、性能測試和成型加工等所需的先進儀器設(shè)備總值6000余萬元；學院也成為輪胎先進裝備與關(guān)鍵材料國家工程實驗室、國家橡膠與輪胎工程技術(shù)研究中心的重要支撐平臺。近年來，學院承擔和完成了一系列國家級和省部級科研項目和企業(yè)大型合作開發(fā)項目，產(chǎn)學研和國際科技合作成果豐碩，國家級和省級精品課程及教學團隊內(nèi)涵建設(shè)成效顯著。優(yōu)質(zhì)的師資隊伍和先進的實驗室套件為高水平的科學技術(shù)研究和高質(zhì)量人才的培養(yǎng)提供了有力的保障。

 

學院與國內(nèi)外工業(yè)界和科研院所建立了密切的合作關(guān)系。學院積極開展對外交流與合作，與美國、德國、日本、加拿大、韓國等國外同行在科學研究和人才培養(yǎng)等方面始終保持著良好的合作關(guān)系。與美國阿克隆大學開始了“3+2”模式聯(lián)合研究生培養(yǎng)；與韓國慶尚大學合作舉辦高分子材料與工程專業(yè)本科教育項目。成功舉辦了多期具有國際影響力的“國際橡塑技術(shù)論壇”、“泰山學者論壇”等重大學術(shù)會議。國內(nèi)外知名企業(yè)在我院設(shè)立獎助學金每年達40多萬元，畢業(yè)生就業(yè)率多年來一直居學校前列。

 

在未來的建設(shè)與發(fā)展過程中，學院將繼續(xù)堅持特色辦學的指導思想，貫徹落實教學立院、科研興院、人才強院、特色發(fā)展“十六字”方針，建設(shè)國內(nèi)一流、國際知名的研究教學型學院，培養(yǎng)適應(yīng)現(xiàn)代社會需求的具有國際視野的各類高級工程技術(shù)和管理優(yōu)秀人才。

 

 

School profile

 

School of Polymer Science and Engineering  is the cradle of talent training in the rubber industry. At present, there are more than 2,500 undergraduates, nearly 500postgraduates and doctors, and 150 junior college students.

 

The College has 160 faculty members including 30 professors, 42 associate professors, an National Outstanding Young Scientists Fund, a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions from the country, and a leading talent team with Taishan scholars' superior characteristics. There are one national candidate for millions of talents projects,one talented  person for the National Outstanding Young Scientists Fund, one outstanding national teacher, six scholars of Taishan  including overseas, one famous provincial teacher, three outstanding experts who contributes to our province and 7 talents enjoying the State Council government allowance. The middle-aged and young backbone teachers in teaching and researching all have doctoral degrees ,which is a high-level, and well-structured teaching group. The college holds national first-level doctoral and master's degree in materials science  materials processing engineering, polymer chemistry and physics . There are also three master's degree programs and a post-doctoral research station for materials science and engineering. There are 15 doctoral supervisors and 75 master supervisors.

 

The college has established close cooperation with domestic and foreign industry and research institutes. The College actively carries out foreign exchanges and cooperation, and has always maintained a good cooperative relationship with the United States, Germany, Japan, Canada, South Korea and other foreign counterparts in scientific research and personnel training. The University of Akron and the United States have started a joint "3+2" mode of graduate student training; they have also cooperated with the Korean Gyeongsang University to hold undergraduate education programs in macromolecular materials and engineering. Successfully held several major academic conferences such as the International Forum on Rubber and Plastic Technology and the Taishan Scholars Forum with international influence. Well-known domestic and foreign enterprises set up scholarships in our hospital for more than 400,000 yuan each year, and the employment rate of graduates has been at the forefront of the school for many years.

 

In the course of future construction and development, the College will continue to adhere to the guiding ideology of featured schools, implement the “16-character” policy of teaching institute, research institutes, strong institutions, and characteristic development, and build first-rate domestic and internationally renowned research. The teaching-type colleges cultivate various kinds of advanced engineering technologies and management talents with international perspectives that meet the needs of modern society.
